Earth Mamas with Noisy Waters

eartmamaChristine and Megan met in ’89 when singing in a Women’s choir at college. Their choir director nicknamed them the “Earth Mamas” due to their love for singing gritty tenor and alto harmonies.  They partnered with Margo deSimon writing songs and performing at local coffee houses and benefits throughout the early 90’s.  After college graduation they went their separate ways. Then, in early 2016 Megan stumbled across recordings made during an Earth Mama performance in 1992.  Megan took a chance and reached out to try to find Christine on Facebook and they had a very emotional musical reunion at Christine’s home with both of their families.  They soon found out that the music they wrote 25 years ago, had a prophetic tone and healing force that stretched from the past to the present.  They have since written a new song about this experience, “Home”.  Megan and Christine are now performing again together and also with the band “Noisy Waters” which includes some of their family members and friends.  They play gigs at local coffee houses and other musical venues in MA and NH.

Sharon Novak

novakI sing with young children almost everyday. I tell people that I love to sing and I love children, so I don’t have to say that in every way, I love what I do. I have sung for an audience of one child to an audience of more than a 100. My audiences include anywhere from babies to young elementary children. I have learned from my five years of experience what children love and enjoy. I don’t just have children sing, but I am about moving. Little children love songs that invite them to move. I have made this the the standard for most every song I write or sing. I have put my experience and love together on my CD’s.  And then there is me. Well, kids enjoy me! Without the singing, I still feel like Santa Claus. They know I am a person who loves them and is ready to have fun. www.musicforkidswithsharonnovak.com  For CDs:  http://www.cdbaby.com/m/Artist/SharonNovak or find Sharon Novak on iTunes
